Abstract

OBJECTIVE: Reflect on Edgar Morin's stance regarding the future of education from a complex perspective, applying these ideas to the educational context of Guatemala. METHOD: Using the documentary analysis method, intensive readings of three key texts were conducted: "The Seven Necessary Knowledges for the Education of the Future" and "The Eighth Knowledge" by Morin, and the article "Complexity and Complex Systems" by Mario Tarride. RESULTS: Findings highlight the need for a holistic and integrative education that emphasizes the interrelationship between individuals and their environment, promoting transdisciplinarity. INCONCLUSIVE REFLECTION: Based on the analysis conducted, it is determined that the future of education in Guatemala should be grounded in the integration of knowledge and adaptability to the constant changes in the world.
