PROBLEM: What is complexity and complex systems, according to Mario Tarride and Edgar Morin? OBJECTIVE: Explore the concepts and ideas of Mario Tarride and Edgar Morin on the topic of Complexity and Complex Systems. METHOD: This study is descriptive, since it dares to read several books, Complexity and Complex Systems, by Mario Tarride and The seven knowledge necessary for the education of the future by Edgar Morin and The Eighth Knowledge: Dialogue with Edgar Morin; It will be about understanding and explaining complexity and complex systems. RESULTS: Mario offers a model to understand the concept of complexity, which includes a variety of concepts, such as organization, interaction, independence, adaptability and conservation. Morin argues that current education is not adequate to address the challenges of the contemporary world and that an interdisciplinary approach to education is necessary. The Eighth Knowledge: Dialogue with Edgar Morin, explores the principles of Morin's Theory of Complex Systems, as well as the importance of complex systems for the development of a modern society. UNFINISHED REFLECTION: Highlights that complexity is not determined by the number of elements, but by the interconnections between them. It also highlights the importance of emergent factors, such as interest negotiation, cultural influence, and social pressure, in complex systems. The ability of these systems to adapt to changes in their environment is highlighted.
