Abstract

OBJECTIVE: Reflect on education and complexity, synthesize the challenges of education in today's world. METHOD: A literature review was carried out based on three fundamental works: The eighth knowledge by Morin and Domínguez Gómez, The seven knowledge necessary for the education of the future by Morin and Complexity and Complex Systems by Tarride. The interpretation of these texts was carried out using the hermeneutic approach. RESULTS: The elements that traditional education must overcome to move towards an education conceived from complexity for comprehensive training, the construction of citizenship and human understanding are proposed. UNFINISHED REFLECTION: The development of complex thinking is necessary for the inclusion of the context in educational work; reflection on the complexity of education will allow the transition from traditional and reductionist forms of teaching disciplines to broad, free learning linked to human understanding.
