OBJECTIVE: To highlight the urgency of focusing education towards a complex thinking approach in order to explore reality from a transdisciplinary perspective to address major social problems. METHOD: Descriptive documentary research, through literature review. RESULTS: The future of education through the knowledge of Edgar Morin revealed the importance of adopting a transdisciplinary approach and complex thinking in the educational field, highlighting the need to transcend traditional paradigms, promote the comprehensive training of individuals, and foster skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and awareness of global challenges. INCONCLUSIVE REFLECTION: The exploration of Morin's knowledge in the educational field provides a solid foundation to drive significant changes in the way education is conceived and practiced, orienting it towards a more inclusive, complex, and focused on the comprehensive development of individuals.
